Yes! My second painting of a mighty wooly mammoth is now available online – at last! This time the painting features a single, fierce and noble looking mammoth standing on top of a huge rock outcropping while a full moon rises behind him. The colors are vivid, vibrant and alive, conveying a sense of power and dreamy-surrealism to this painting!

I have noticed that I can paint these mammoths anywhere! I can set them in any environment and they will simply look as if they belong there. This is probably why they were such magical creatures. After all, haven’t we found cavemen drawing s and depictions of these mighty mammoths? Art that is older than most of the countries in the entire world! Just imagine that! And yet… today I feel like I am also taking part of that ancient ritual… just like my cavemen ancestors I am drawing mammoths, paying homage and respect to these mighty creatures that have changed the course of human history and nature.

Imagine a world without mammoths! How different would our species have not been, if not for these mighty creatures that gave us fur for our clothes, ivory for our tools, and meat for our pots… and bones for our homes? Just goes to show you how mighty nature is… and how relevant art can be when paying homage to something this amazing!

What will my next painting be about? I have no idea! My problem is simply that I have far too many ideas that I want to do and try out.. so they battle for my attention, always… until just like a volcano one of them burst through my brain and I am simply forced to flow right along.. it is bliss… creative bliss!
